Dr. Sandi Fields is a board-certified gastroenterologist with a distinguished career spanning more than 17 years. She completed her medical education at West Virginia University School of Medicine, followed by her Internal Medicine residency, Chief Residency, and Gastroenterology fellowship at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in North Carolina.

Dr. Fields brings a unique background that combines medicine, research, and military service. She served honorably in the U.S. Army Medical Corps as a Task Force Surgeon and NATO Peacekeeper in Bosnia and Macedonia, earning multiple commendation and achievement medals for her leadership and service.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Fields has contributed to research on colorectal cancer screening and has been recognized for her expertise in fatty liver disease, having been featured on Fox’s House Calls segment highlighting her work in that field. She has also held numerous leadership roles, including Chief of Staff and Executive Council Member at Annie Penn Hospital, and Advisory Board Member for Colowrap.

Known for her compassionate and personalized approach to care, Dr. Fields is dedicated to helping patients achieve lasting digestive health through education, prevention, and individualized treatment.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Fields enjoys hiking, playing the ukulele, scuba diving, traveling, and cooking.
