Dr. Katherine Hoda is a board-certified gastroenterologist specializing in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of digestive and liver diseases. Her clinical interests include colorectal cancer screening, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), hepatology, and quality outcomes in colonoscopy.
Born and raised in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, Dr. Hoda completed her Bachelor of Science in Zoology at Oregon State University and earned her Doctor of Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). She remained at OHSU for both her Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship, where she also engaged in research focused on quality improvement in endoscopy.
Dr. Hoda joined Salem Gastroenterology Consultants in 2009. She is board-certified in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine and holds active medical staff appointments at Salem Hospital, Salem Endoscopy Center, and West Valley Hospital, as well as courtesy staff privileges at Oregon Health & Science University.
Dr. Hoda is a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the Oregon Medical Association, and the Marion-Polk Medical Society.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Hoda enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, camping, playing basketball and tennis, and traveling.
