Dr. Falguny Bhavan is a board-certified gastroenterologist with extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of digestive and liver disorders. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and emphasizes education, prevention, and long-term wellness in her practice.
A graduate of the University of Oregon, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Psychology and graduated summa cum laude, Dr. Bhavan went on to earn her Doctor of Medicine from Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). She remained at OHSU for her Internal Medicine internship and residency, where she also served as a Clinical Instructor of Medicine before completing her Gastroenterology fellowship at Saint Louis University in Missouri.
Dr. Bhavan joined Salem Gastroenterology Consultants in 2015 after several years in private practice in Texas. She is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and she holds active medical staff privileges at Salem Hospital and Salem Endoscopy Center.
Her professional affiliations include the American College of Gastroenterology, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American Gastroenterological Association, Oregon Medical Association, and Marion Polk Medical Society.
Dr. Bhavan has been recognized for her commitment to excellence and inclusion in medicine, earning the Multicultural and Diversity Award from Oregon Health & Science University.
