Dr. Charles H. Du is a board-certified gastroenterologist who combines an academic foundation with advanced procedural expertise and a deeply human-centered approach to care. From preventing colon cancer through early detection to helping patients manage complex digestive conditions, he is passionate about improving health and quality of life through evidence-based, compassionate medicine.

Dr. Du’s clinical interests include colon cancer prevention, esophageal motility disorders, therapeutic endoscopy(including ERCP and endoscopic mucosal resection), GERD and Bravo pH monitoring, inflammatory bowel disease, and liver disease including cirrhosis.

Dr. Du earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard College, graduating summa cum laude in Chemistry with a minor in Statistics. He went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, followed by an Internal Medicine residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and a Gastroenterology fellowship at Cook County Health in Chicago.

During his training, Dr. Du received multiple academic distinctions, including the Presidential Poster Award from the American College of Gastroenterology and the John D. Arnold Scientific Research Prize. His research has been published in leading journals such as Digestive Diseases and Sciences and the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Du enjoys hiking, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with his wife and daughter, who are excited to make their home in the Pacific Northwest.
